Batting first on a lush long grass outfield Redbourn knew that boundaries were going to be difficult to hit. Tommy and Kkrish gave the team a great platform putting on 50 for the 1st wicket. Tommy retired on 31 and then Arthur continued the good run rate. Jack and Ollie both hit some good shots and the innings was finished off with good batting by Sammy and a 4 from Hugo off the last ball. The final score of 121 off 20 overs was achieved due to the number of scoring shots despite the good bowling from OA, the batsmen constantly looking to score runs.
In reply Redbourn struck early when Sammy induced a top edge off OAs most dangerous batsman who was caught at midwicket by Kkrish. Next over Jack was quickly onto an attempted single and combined with wicket keeper Tommy for a sharp run out. OAs run chase was strangled by consistent quick bowling from all the bowlers and excellent fielding resulted in lots of dot balls and potential 2's reduced to singles. Wickets were spread around including for Oscar, Kkrish, Jack and Hugo. Needing 31 off the last 3 overs Matty bowled too fast for their lower order and the game was done. Redbourn completing a comfortable win due to an all round team performance with OA finishing on 103.
