It is always nice to beat Harpenden, so that’s what we did.
The tone was set early on with energy in the field stopping singles backing up good bowling. Matty added further pressure with 2 wickets in an over. Harpenden’s middle order tried to play some shots towards the end but the early pressure had meant the final score was kept down to 115 off 20 overs. It was great to see all 11 players able to bowl well against a good opposition.
In reply Seth and Kkrish played sensibly against Harpenden’s best bowlers while still ticking the score board over with singles. Kkrish timed some nice shots to reach 31 and retire. With a stable base Seth, Arthur, Oscar and Saketh all did the right thing pushing the tempo on. Tommy played some great shots, including a big 6 over the scorers heads to retire with Redbourn on the brink of victory. It was left to Joe Carr and Harvey to score the winning runs
